All we can see is a red X..
Snoozy..
i filed away the letter that i received from an elder when my mom was disfellowshipped years ago.
it turned up the other day, reminding me again of the high control, fear based beliefs the dubs have.
i resisted shunning my mom -- and sadly this letter is the reason i finally began shunning her.
Please repost the letter...

Ah to be so young and naive again...sigh.....
Snoozy..
we're watching a cat for a friend's mother for a few months.
it was in a bad situation, so we took the cat in until things can get sorted out.
well, we wanted to do this as a favour, and when our friend's mother offered us money, we refused it.
I think she really appreciated your help. I would keep it and let her know how nice it was of her and glad you could help out.
I do the same thing if someone does me a favor. It makes me feel better..like I'm not taking advantage of someone.
When my daughter asked me to come over here and watch her animals while they were in Florida..I said sure!
Then she went on to tell me she was going to pay me!.Well I have done this many times before at no pay.So I though ..yeah!
Then she went on to say she would pay me HALF of what she would pay a kennel.
I thought..hey..would a kennel clean your 2 story house..straighten the kids dressers, closets, wash clothes and iron them..lots of other things..and take care of the animals at your house for half price?
Then I felt insulted and taken advantage of...
I think free would have been better..
Snoozy...who just cleaned the mess out of the microwave...
my "judicial hearing" for social security disability is today at 1pm pacific daylight time, and should last about 1 hour.
i would appreciate any possitive thoughts or good vibes you can send me during the hearing.
please don't take your energies off of dansk - his healing is far more important.
Usually when someone applies for disability the first time they are rejected. Why they do this? So you can contact one of their lawyers to fight for you and win and then they get a cut of the check ever month..what a rip-off..
When hubby was diagnosed with cancer he was immediatly changed over to disability. Didn't need a lawyer for that one.He was already on Social security so the switch was easy.
The good part is when I turn 65 I can collect his full amount of disability..even if I am not disabled. I could collect it now but I would take a cut.
Good luck to you! From what I've read you should qualify.
Snoozy...
yesterday, i received in the mail a wedding invitation...well not actually a wedding invitation, it was more of a re-newal of vows invitation.
with me so far...ok, i'm fine with that.
i even visited her church a few years ago, it was nice, but i don't want to join a church.
Usually on renewal's they request "No gifts". To ask for money is a shock to me!
I would RSVP that I would not be attending as my money is being saved for MY trip to Hawaii.
Snoozy...
i feel really embarrassed when i walk my dog down the street, as i know i wiggle but cant help it.
it really seems to have gone out of fashion, a while a go ( ok years ago) when i was young every young girl tried to wiggle when she walked but now they dont know the word!!!
they just seem to show off their bellies and forget the rear!.
Aw shucks...I'm 63 and I can still get a look when I bounce and wiggle....
Puts a smile on my face everytime.
(And theirs too)
Guys butts do nothing for me though. A beautiful set of eyes is what I enjoy!
I passed a light skinned black guy in the store one time. He had the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen. Our eyes locked and stayed that way as we passed. I could feel my heart racing. So I went home and attacked hubby...
Snoozy..of the dirty old lady class..
the following link is very interesting.
it is from the web site of northwestern mutual financial.
they are part of northwestern mutual life insurance.
I did it for hubby..he was supposed to live to 91..what happened?
He was only 62 when he died. Don't believe everything you read!!!!
Snoozy...
she has something called, corticobasildegeneration.
yeah i know what a name!
its a disease that shrinks the brain, and there is no cure for it!
How old is your mom? Is she on SS yet?..She should qualify for disability. When she does the state has all kinds of programs for help to come to you.If her income is low enough she can get medicaid or it not she can get medicare. If you were honest with the Dr maybe he can help with some suggestions. Also the Social Security dept. can talk with you about different options.
My husbands cousins wife took care ol her Mom for years at her home. She ended up in a hospital bed that the state provided. It was through hospice. She put her mom in the middle of the house so she could be seen at all times. They would always talk to her like she could hear them. Who knows? Her mom lasted a long time that way. Eventually just shribling up and dying in a coma. She had alzheimers. But she lasted years longer than they said she would. She refused to put her mom in a nursing home.
Sometimes there is a way to work it where the state pays you to take care of her. Relatives don't usually qualify but there are ways to work it.
You will just have to check all the avenues out. Look in the phone book under Government agencies for aging. AARP may be able to point you in some direction also. But again..it depends on how old she is.
Best to you..Snoozy
my mother's so disillusioned by the elders, circuit overseer and society for removing her as a pioneer for going to my daughter's wedding in which she married an "unbeliever", that she has told the elders not to even announce her name if they find out she's been sick or could use some welcomed calls.
nope!
she just wants them to stay away from her as long as is possible.
Since when do they visit sick people?
I begged them to come see hubby when he was dying...they came twice in 5 months. and on the second visit they went the oldest and deafest brother they had.I guess that's all they could spare.
They wasted no time in making a show at the hospital and telling off the Drs about NO BLOOD for Mr ........like they were so concerned for their people...not!
Snoozy..bitter...me? could be....
my two son's are body builders and i am wonering if they think they can take on the world .
last year my son was in a bar fight and got sucker punched in the eye which required 5 stiches ,now my 21 year old comes home with a huge black eye, the biggest i have ever seen trying to break up a fight.. .
now both these people that got a good shot at my kids where men much smaller in stature and size and seemed to land good punches.
I don't know too many men or women that body build that don't get into steroids!
My daughter was dating a body builder-personal trainer.
He is losing patches of hair on his head .
And his privates..he needs pill help to get it up .He is in his late 30's. She loves his body but can't stand the powder he puts on his head to hide the steroid bald spots.
Now he is having other difficulty with his private parts!...He is lazy..stingy..and can't hold down a job because of a so called back injury. Doesn't seem to stop him from lifting weights though..hummmm.
Sometimes you can go overboard with those things and forget whats really important.
Snoozy..who is not against fitness training..just being consumed with building freaky muscles at the point of breaking down your body.
